Noise Temperature Calculation

The noise tool converts between temperature in Kelvin to noise in $\mathrm{dBW}/\mathrm{Hz}$. The following parameters are used:

• $T=$ temperature Kelvin

• $N=$ noise in $\mathrm{dBW}$ in bandwidth

• $B=$ bandwidth in $\mathrm{Hz}$

These parameters are related using the following equations:

$$N=k+10{\log }_{10}(TB)$$

where $\mathrm{k}=-228.6$ is Boltzmann's constant in $\mathrm{dBW}/\mathrm{Hz}/\mathrm{K}$.
