Calculate Path Loss

The path loss tool calculates the free space path loss. The parameters used are:

• $f=$ frequency and Frequency units

• $D=$ distance or path length

• $L_{fs}=$ Path Loss

Each of these three can be calculated from the other using:

$$L_{fs}=22.0+20{\log }_{10}\left(\frac{Df}{c}\right)$$
